Smile is a unique work on canvas by the artist Mr. Brainwash. It measures 40,6x35,6 cm including the frame, designed by the artist as an integral part of the work and a continuation of the canvas.

The protagonist of the composition is the figure of a child who, holding a camera in his hand, leans slightly into the lens in an attempt to get the perfect shot. This is a recurring subject in the works of Mr. Brainwash, an artist who combines stencils, collage, dripping and spray painting in colourful games full of harmony.

The camera picks up a few pages of Mr. Brainwash's biography. Thierry Guetta, his real name, has always intertwined his passion for urban art with that of photography and video-making. His story is told in the famous documentary Exit Through the Gift Shop (2010), attributed to Banksy.

By inserting details reminiscent of the great masters of Pop Art, Mr. Brainwash enriches the background with curious references to his major sources of inspiration. In the dialectic between the bright colours and the subject of the work, rendered in black and white, an unstoppable flow of positive energy is generated, which fuels every detail and is irresistible to the eye of the observer.

Who is Mr Brainwash? About Mr Brainwash Artist Biography you must know his real name is Thierry Guetta, born in Garges-lès-Gonesse in France.

At the age of 15 Thierry Guetta moved with his family to Los Angeles, where he actually lives and works in his secret workshop.

Thierry Guetta before becaming an artist, was the owner of a vintage store in LA.

Thierry had a passion: filming everything with his beloved camera, which he always carried around his neck.

2008 - First Exhibition of Mr Brainwash: Life is Beautiful

In 2008 Thierry Guetta decided to start creating his own art. To make Mr Brainwash art known, the artist organized an Exhibition.

His first exhibition took place in Los Angeles, on Hollywood's Walk of Fame Sunset Boulevard, inside a space of around 15,000 square-foot.

The name of the show that started on the 18th of June 2008, was Life is Beautiful and it was a big success.
