The project stems from the meeting between contemporary art and social responsibility, resulting in a signed limited-edition silkscreen print by Maestro Marco Lodola, inspired by the light installation “Note di luce.” Promoted by A2A, in collaboration with Galleria Deodato Arte, the initiative transforms a symbolic work of light, energy, and sharing into a concrete act of solidarity: the net proceeds from sales will be entirely donated to the Fondazione Banco dell’energia to support initiatives for individuals and families facing economic and social vulnerability in the Milan area. In this dialogue between aesthetics and civic commitment, art becomes a vehicle for awareness and an active tool to support the community.

“Note di luce” is a new and moving work by Marco Lodola, conceived to illuminate La Scala from May 10 to 17, on the occasion of the eightieth anniversary of the reopening concert. The intervention, consisting of three monumental light installations in the square and projections on the theatre façade, is not only a celebratory tribute but also a reflection on the role of theatre in contemporary society. Through light, color, and technology, Lodola—together with curator and artistic director Angelo Bonello—reinterprets La Scala’s historical memory, making it accessible and engaging for a broader and more diverse audience.

The project is promoted by Fondazione Banco dell’energia, in collaboration with Fondazione Teatro alla Scala and A2A, and also marks the tenth anniversary of Fondazione Banco dell’energia, which since 2016 has raised and distributed over 15 million euros and helped more than 17,000 people experiencing economic and social vulnerability, with particular attention to energy poverty.

“With ‘Note di Luce’ I wanted to transform light into living memory: a luminous bridge between the history of Teatro alla Scala and the energy of the present. My figures are created to dialogue with the music of Giuseppe Verdi, bringing it out of the theatre into the square, among the people. It is an embrace of color that celebrates shared beauty and reminds us that art, when it lights up, can unite, move us, and also generate a concrete act of solidarity.”
