The screen print Note di Luce by Marco Lodola presents itself as a coherent synthesis between the artist’s distinctive visual language and the celebratory context for which it was conceived. At the center of the composition emerges a compact cluster of stylized figures, rendered through flat, vibrant color fields, intertwining into a dense and dynamic circular form. These anonymous profiles, devoid of individual traits, evoke a human chorus that becomes a metaphor for collective participation, a recurring theme in Lodola’s work.

In the background, sketched with a light and almost architectural line, the façade of Teatro alla Scala can be recognized, anchoring the work to historical memory and to a symbolic place of Milanese musical culture. The contrast between the monochrome linearity of the background and the central chromatic explosion highlights the dialogue between tradition and contemporaneity, a hallmark of the artist, known for his luminous installations inspired by the world of performance and music.

The decorative upper frame, with its heraldic reference and the inscription “Teatro alla Scala”, gives the work an institutional character, reinforcing its connection to the eightieth anniversary of the reopening concert. In this context, light—here translated into screen-printed color—becomes a symbolic element of energy and continuity, consistent with Lodola’s poetics, which has long explored the relationship between artificial luminosity, popular culture, and collective memory.

The work fully belongs to the broader project promoted by A2A and Fondazione Banco dell’energia, where artistic production is not an end in itself but takes on a concrete social function. The piece contributes to making the image accessible and reproducible, in line with the artist’s stated intention of bringing art “among people,” transforming it into a tool for sharing and support.
