My Heart Is All a Flutter (B&W) - Papercut

David Kracov - My Heart Is All a Flutter B&W Papercut

Wonderful limited edition piece by David Kracov, My Heart Is All a Flutter B&W Papercut is a work on paper made with the Papercut technique.

From a multitude of butterflies takes shape a suggestive heart. In this version of the work the artist leaves colors in favor of the elegance of black and white.

A recurring and of great importance motif in the artist's production is the butterfly. It appears in many of his works including the splendid sculpture by David Kracov, Book of Life.

The typical papercut technique involves paper cuttings superimposed in several layers on a paper support. It is common in Kracov, in works that, like this one, draw inspiration from the subjects of his most famous metal sculptures.

In My Heart Is All a Flutter the perfect fusion of shapes comes to life in a harmonious and balanced composition, with a strong impact and able to amaze the viewer.

The work is a limited edition of 100, signed and numbered in original and measures 35x38 cm.

Meaning of the Artwork by David Kracov My Heart Is All a Flutter B&W Papercut

The work My Heart Is All a Flutter B&W Papercut has been defined by the artist as “one of my most personal pieces I have ever created”.

It conveys energy and positivity, but the true meaning of the work has not been revealed by the artist. Kracov wanted to let the viewer engage in a spontaneous and unconditional dialogue with My Heart Is All a Flutter B&W Papercut, perceiving the work “as an extension of themselves”, citing the artist.

The interpretation may change according to the viewer. This subjective feature is one of the most fascinating sides of David Kracov's works.
