THE ARTWORK

-

The work is inspired by the masterpiece of Pellizza, today exposed to the Museo del Novecento in Milan. In this case Tomoko revisits the work in a pop and kawaii key: the pop people advances, inexorable, with a magnum bottle of Campari in hand. The working class and of the laborers, "The fourth state" today dress Armani (fake or original), in a triumph of historical "Milanese" brands among which the "panetùn" (panettone Motta). Behind this mass of people, fiercely consumiste, the Duomo Cathedral in Milan, in Pop and Gothic version seen again with a meticulous and virtuous job of forms and vectors ito also reconstruct the present statues on it with characters taken from works of the same Tomoko. In the sky there is also the Tomoko-Visa card gold, with which you can buy everything in the shopping capital Milan.
