Keith Haring: extended until the end of July the exhibition in Brussels

The exhibition of the acclaimed street artist Keith Haring at the Centre for Fine Arts BOZAR, in Brussels, is extended until July 21.

Keith Haring - Mostra BOZAR BruxellesOrganised by the Tate Liverpool, the retrospective brought to the Belgian institution Keith Haring's most important subjects, such as the iconic barking dogs, the hearts and the stylized human figures, trademark of the artist. As a friend and artistic companion to Andy Warhol and Jean-Michel Basquiat, he was unique in 1980s New York and with his instantly recognisable style he gave life to a strong and politically charged art.

"Art should be something that liberates the soul, provokes the imagination and encourages people to go further." - Keith Haring

Keith Haring - Mostra a Bruxelles 2The activism of the American street artist is one of the main themes of the exhibition and the works on display deal with some of the most urgent issues of the period such as racism, AIDS and nuclear disarmament. From large-scale drawings and paintings to archival documents, video and photographs, the exhibition offers a unique experience, immersing visitors in the unmistakable works of one of the artists that have most marked the evolution of street art.

We strongly suggest to take this opportunity to admire some of the most beautiful artworks by Keith Haring and we remind you that the Deodato Arte Gallery has opened in the artistic heart of Brussels a new exhibition space that will be inaugurated in September 2020.

Stay tuned and don't miss any more updates!
