Recalling the famous work by Giacomo Leopardi, the series by Manuela Manes Zibaldone expresses thoughts and feelings in an unmitigated spontaneous way.
In these evocative abstract canvases, bright and energetic colours find their balance within the composition.
The series Zibaldone by Manuela Manes refers to the famous literary piece written by Giacomo Leopardi. Zibaldone is a sort of journal in which the Italian poet expressed his thoughts and feelings in a vivid, yet confused and unrefined manner.
In the same way, Manuela Manes aims to freely express her feelings, emotions and thoughts through her abstract canvases in an entirely spontaneous way.
Splashes and drippings of colour create energetic abstract works, however reaching a compositional balance through bright contrasts of color.
The works of this series were displayed for the first time in 2016 for the exhibition "Impronte” at Deodato Arte gallery.
