Displayed for the first time at Deodato Arte Gallery's exhibition "Storie di Incantesimi e Connessioni (Stories of Magic Spells and Connections)", the series by Manuela Manes Sfocature (Nuances) refers to Greek philosophy and represents the life-giving four elements.
Water, Fire, Earth and Air come alive in these abstract canvases, directly relating to the spectator and questioning him.
Sfocature (Blurriness) is one of the four series that were presented at the Deodato Arte gallery for the exhibition "Manuela Manes. Storie di Incantesimi e Connessioni (Stories of Magic Spells and Connections)".
The works of these series represent the four elements (water, fire, earth and air) referring to the Greek philosophy according to which life is perpetuated in an eternal cyclic process and it is generated from the elements.
Manuela Manes thus tries to relate her feelings to those of the viewer, simultaneously posing him questions and encouraging him to question himself, while finding the own image reflected in one of these elements.
All the works of the series by Manuela Manes Sfocature are unique pieces signed by the artist. They were made between 2018 and 2019 and measure 100x80 cm.
